* We will be giving you daily photo's and brief desciptions of what and how we are doing on this project. * It is a 1978 Chevrolet Camaro. We will be sandblasting the frame, undercarriage and all suspension components. They will then be primed and painted using POR 15. We will then reassemble the car and drop in a fresh 383 pump gas engine with a 700r4 transferring the power to the rear wheels. The body work and interior isn't to shabby and will be left the way it is until the winter, when the Camaro will not be driven anymore and can be stripped and repainted. * This first slide show is Day 1 of our restoration. We got most of the sandblasting on the undercarriage completed.  * In this slideshow you will see the camaro go from bare to primed to pained all in one day. As you noticed the paint we used for this job is thinly brushed on. This type of paint is brushable and works excellent as long as it is applied in thin coats. We did this because we are only restoring the chassis and undercarriage of this car. We don't want to harm the paint on the body. *On a complete restoration job, we would take every window, nut, bolt, molding, etc. off of the car and use a rotisserie. We would then sandblast, prime and paint the entire body as one. * We disassembled the rear and subframe and sandblasted both. We dropped the rear of at STR for some new moser parts that will hold up to the power. The subframe will be painted by wednesday and be ready for new Energy Suspension Nylon Bushings. We will be replacing all necessary parts such as ball joints, spindles, rotors, and anything else with excessive wear and tear.
